Soak up sensational Santiago, the country's capital and beating heart, then visit the Atacama Desert, known for being the driest place on Earth. Afterwards, head south to tackle one of the world's most sought-after hiking destinations, Patagonia. We'll spend 4 days in Torres del Paine National Park hiking from campsite to campsite along the same trails used by guanacos and prowling pumas. This epic journey concludes on the shores of Grey Lake, renowned for its sweeping vistas and massive glaciers.

Day01OCT 22

Santiago

Santiago is Chile's vibrant capital and the center of the country's queer culture, offering a lively gay scene with numerous bars, clubs, and cafes. The city boasts grand historical landmarks like Plaza de Armas and La Moneda Presidential Palace, alongside bohemian neighborhoods including Lastarria, Bellas Artes, Bellavista, and Providencia. Visitors can enjoy great dining, cool nightlife, cable car rides up Cerro San Cristóbal (Metropolitan Park), and explore the city's rich history through walking tours that highlight both cultural heritage and LGBTQ+ significance. Santiago is known as a safe and welcoming destination for LGBTQ+ travelers.

Atacama Desert (San Pedro de Atacama)

San Pedro de Atacama is a gateway town to the Atacama Desert, the driest desert on Earth. Located in the northern Antofagasta region of Chile, this destination offers adventure seekers and nature lovers an extraordinary landscape of salt flats, geysers, volcanic peaks, colorful canyons, and high-altitude lagoons. The region is renowned for exceptional stargazing opportunities, diverse geological wonders, and rich cultural and archaeological experiences. Cejar Lagoon

Laguna Cejar is a stunning topaz-colored salt lake located in the Salar de Atacama desert, approximately 28 km from San Pedro de Atacama. This otherworldly destination features crystal-clear waters with high salt content that allows visitors to float effortlessly while enjoying dramatic views of surrounding volcanoes and mountains. The surreal landscape blends desert, water, and volcanic scenery, making it one of Chile's most spectacular natural attractions and sunset destinations. The lagoon is home to diverse wildlife including flamingos and native birds, and provides a unique floating experience in one of South America's most remarkable environments.

Termas de Puritama

Puritama Hot Springs is a series of eight large pools of geothermal spring water located at the bottom of a canyon in the Atacama Desert. This natural thermal spa features mineral-rich waters in one of Earth's driest regions, offering visitors a unique opportunity to relax in warm geothermal pools surrounded by stunning desert landscapes. The facility operates daily with multiple bathing sessions and provides access to natural healing thermal waters with therapeutic properties.
